Iran's First Spiritual Psychology Laboratory Inaugurated at the Hawzah and University Research Institute in Qom

The first Phase of Iran's Spiritual Psychology Laboratory (LSP) was officially inaugurated at the Hawzah and University Research Institute on Sunday, May 24, 2026. According to the Public Relations department of the institute, the inauguration ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including:



  • Dr. Mohammad Baqir Saeedi Roshan (President of the Research Institute)


  • Ayatollah Seyed Mohammad Gharavi (Head of the Psychology Department at the Hawzah and University Research Institute)


  • Dr. Masoud Azarbayjani (Professor of Psychology at the Research Institute)


  • Dr. Masoud Janbozorgi (Professor of Psychology and Head of the Spiritual Psychology Laboratory)


  • Dr. Hamid Rafiei Honar (Associate Professor at the Ethics and Spirituality Research Center)


  • A gathering of psychology students.



Bridging Science, Technology, and Spirituality


The Spiritual Psychology Laboratory is the first of its kind in Iran. Moving beyond mere theorizing, the facility enters the practical field to provide concrete, applicable solutions and capabilities for assessment, intervention, and treatment through a harmonious blend of science, technology, and spirituality.


The laboratory offers a unique environment where the latest advancements in psychological science, cutting-edge diagnostic and intervention technologies, and spiritually-oriented therapeutic approaches converge to achieve comprehensive mental health.

The facility utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to diagnose and regulate brain functions, reduce psychological tension, enhance concentration, improve emotional regulation, boost cognitive functions, and create modern therapeutic experiences. These technologies include:


  • Neurofeedback

  • Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (TES)

  • Virtual Reality (VR) Glasses

The defining feature of this laboratory is not just its modern machinery, but its broad and profound approach to understanding the human being. Here, treatment goes beyond merely reducing the clinical symptoms of an illness. Instead, the true foundation of mental health is viewed as:

Using advanced scientific methods, the facility investigates how the activation of the spiritual dimension influences the brain through the formation of new synaptic connections.

حوزہ و یونیورسٹی تحقیقاتی مرکز میںایران ایران کی پہلی روحانی نفسیات کی تجربہ گاہ کا افتتاح 24 مئی 2026 کو عمل میں آیا۔

حوزہ و یونیورسٹی تحقیقاتی مرکز کے شعبہ تعلقات عامہ کی رپورٹ کے مطابق، حوزہ و یونیورسٹی تحقیقاتی مرکز کی روحانی تجربہ گاہ (LSP) کے پہلے مرحلے کا افتتاح ڈاکٹر محمدباقر سعیدی روشن، صدر تحقیقاتی مرکز؛ آیت اللہ سیدمحمد غروی، حوزہ و یونیورسٹی تحقیقاتی مرکز کے شعبہ نفسیات کے سربراہ؛ ڈاکٹر مسعود آذربایجانی تحقیقاتی مرکز کے استاد نفسیات؛ ڈاکٹر مسعود جان بزرگی، استاد نفسیات اور حوزہ و یونیورسٹی تحقیقاتی مرکز کی روحانی نفسیات تجربہ گاہ کے سربراہ، ڈاکٹر حمید رفیعی ہنر، اخلاقیات و روحانیت تحقیقاتی مرکز کے ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر اور شعبہ نفسیات کے طلبہ کی ایک جماعت کی موجودگی میں، بروز اتوار، 24 مئی 2026 کو حوزہ و یونیورسٹی تحقیقاتی مرکز میں عمل میں آیا۔


حوزہ و یونیورسٹی تحقیقاتی مرکز کی روحانی نفسیات کی تجربہ گاہ، ایران میں اپنی نوعیت کی پہلی تجربہ گاہ ہے جو سائنس، ٹیکنالوجی اور روحانیت کے ہم آہنگ امتزاج کے ذریعے محض نظریہ سازی theorizing کی سطح سے آگے بڑھ کر عملی میدان میں داخل ہوتی ہے اور تشخیص assessment، مداخلت intervention اور علاج treatment کے لیے ٹھوس، قابلِ اطلاق راہ حل اور استعدادات فراہم کرنے کی جستجو میں مصروف ہے۔ روحانی نفسیات تجربہ گاہ ایک منفرد فضا ہے جس میں جامع نفسیاتی صحت comprehensive mental health کے حصول کے لیے علم نفسیات کا جدید ترین علم، تشخیص اور مداخلت کی انتہائی ترقی یافتہ ٹیکنالوجیز، اور روحانیت پر مبنی علاج کے طریقہ کار therapeutic approaches ایک دوسرے میں پیوستہ ہیں۔


اس تجربہ گاہ میں جدید ترین آلات جیسے نیوروفیڈبیک neurofeedback، دماغی تحریک TES - Transcranial Electrical Stimulation اور مجازی حقیقت کے چشمے VR glasses - Virtual Reality glasses دماغی افعال کی تشخیص اور ان کی تنظیم، نفسیاتی تناؤ psychological tension میں کمی، ارتکاز concentration میں ترقی، جذباتی تنظیم emotional regulation میں بہتری، دماغ کے علمی افعال cognitive functions میں اضافہ اور جدید علاج کے تجربات تخلیق کرنے میں مدد کے لیے استعمال کیے جاتے ہیں۔


اس تجربہ گاہ کی سب سے بڑی خوبی صرف جدید مشینیں نہیں ہیں بلکہ انسان کو سمجھنے کا اس کا وسیع اور گہرا انداز ہے۔ یہاں علاج کا مطلب صرف بیماری کی علامات symptoms کو کم کرنا نہیں ہے۔ اس کے بجائے، زندگی میں مطلب کی دوبارہ تلاش، امید اور مقصد کو مضبوط کرنا، اور خدا کی طرف رجوع کرتے ہوئے اپنے اعمال کو عقلمندی سے سنوارنا ذہنی صحت کی اصل بنیاد سمجھا جاتا ہے. اسی لیے، خدا سُو روحانی علاج ایک تکمیلی اور گہرا طریقہ علاج ہے جو انسان کا خدا، زندگی کے مطلب، اقدار، مقصد اور دل کے سکون سے دوبارہ جڑنے پر زور دیتا ہے۔ یہ علاج ایک تعالیٰ محور طریقہ کار ہے جو صرف ذہنی بیماری psychological disorder کی علامات کو کم کرنے پر اکتفا نہیں کرتا بلکہ انسان کی ذہنی اور شخصی نشوونما پر بھی پوری توجہ دیتا ہے۔


اس تجربہ گاہ کے قیام کا بنیادی ہدف روحانی تجربات اور دماغ کی اعصابی حیاتیاتی neurobiological تبدیلیوں کے مابین گہری کھوج ہے، درحقیقت اس تجربہ گاہ میں جدید ترین سائنسی طریقوں سے فائدہ اٹھاتے ہوئے روحانی بُعد کی فعالیت کے ان اثرات کا جائزہ لیا جاتا ہے جو دماغی افعال پر اثر انداز ہونے والے نئے سیناپسی روابط synaptic connections پر پڑتے ہیں۔
